The majesty of the Emerald Isle awaits you for this year's MDS Conference and Tour! Enjoy the flowing green countryside of the western part of the island, historic castles and landmarks like the Cliffs of Moher, and stories told over a pint with the locals at a custom Be Our Guest dinner on your custom adventure, exclusive to MDS members! 

The Conference

The conference will conveniently be held inside the Greenhills Hotel Conference & Leisure Centre in Limerick where you'll be staying for the first three nights of your trip.

Meals mentioned below are included in the package pricing. 

Friday, October 28th, 2022: Members Arrive

Welcome to Ireland! Upon arrival at the Shannon International Airport, your private transfer will take you to your hotel in Limerick where the rest of the day is free. This evening, join your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

Saturday, October 29th, 2022: Conference Day 1

Day one of conference programming will begin this morning after breakfast at the Greenhills Hotel Conference & Leisure Center. Lunch and refreshments will be served throughout the day during the conference. This evening is free to explore on your own or with friends.

Sunday, October 30th, 2022:  Jameson Distillery/Conference Day 2

Day two of conference programming will begin in the conference room at the Greenhills Hotel Conference & Leisure Center after breakfast. Later, hop on board the motor coach and travel to the Jameson Distillery in Midleton. Learn about the hard working people and field-to-glass processes responsible for the whiskey that bears John Jameson's name. See the key buildings, including the warehouses and the micro-distillery, before finishing with a tasting of their famous whiskeys. Return to Limerick for the remainder of your conference. 

The Tour

After the conference, an exciting tour awaits! For the next four days you will be introduced to the beauty of Western Ireland and the history that made it what it is today. The following itinerary is included in package pricing for each guest. Meals mentioned below are included in the package pricing. 

Monday, October 31st, 2022

Today the group will move from the Greenhills Hotel Conference & Leisure Center in Limerick to the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney where you'll spend the next two nights. Breakfast and Be My Guest meal are included today.

Admire the UNESCO-listed Cliffs of Moher rising over 650 feet above the pounding Atlantic and scan the horizon all the way to the Aran Islands to get the full view of the irresistible beauty of this special place. You’ll have an opportunity to visit the ‘Atlantic Edge’ exhibition which will bring to life this extraordinary natural phenomenon in a way that only the wildlife of the area get to see.

Enchanted by the wild landscapes, you’ll continue along the Wild Atlantic Way to Connect With Locals and meet local horticulturalist, Oonagh, who’ll teach you how to forage before our Be My Guest visit to the Barrtra Seafood restaurant. Reveal the importance of sustainable food experiences and learn how everything on your plate has been bought locally, perhaps inspired to buy local produce when you return home.

The spectacular views of this dramatic coastline continue before boarding a ferry across the tranquil Shannon Estuary river. Then, continue through County Kerry to your hotel in Killarney, where you'll have an evening at leisure or join in the craic at an optional Irish ceilidh.

Tuesday, November 1st, 2022

Admire Ireland’s enduring scenic beauty on one of the most beautiful drives in the world. Circling the spectacular Ring of Kerry, you'lll see mountains, valleys, lakes and sea blend into a landscape that has inspired writers and poets for centuries. The afternoon is free to explore Killarney on your own. 

Optional Excursions will be available on this date at a later time. 

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022

Today the group will move from the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney to Treacy's Oakwood Hotel in Shannon where you'll spend your last evening in Ireland. Breakfast and a Farewell Dinner are included today.

“The longing you seek is not behind you, it is in front of you.” Today travel to the Dingle Peninsula, thrusting out into the Atlantic Ocean, along the Wild Atlantic Way claiming Ireland’s most westerly point.

Next, visit Bunratty Castle and its Folk Park, a living history museum that reveals insights into life in Ireland during the 18th and 19th centuries. Afterwards, head back to Shannon for a Farewell Dinner at your hotel. 

Thursday, November 3rd, 2022

All good things must come to an end. After breakfast, your private airport transportation will pick you up at the hotel and take you directly to the Shannon International Airport to return home.

Pricing includes the following: 

  • Hotel rooms and taxes for six nights, single occupancy is for one person occupying each room, double occupancy is for two people sharing a room

  • Luxury nonstop transportation to and from the Shannon International Airport

  • Admission to all tours mentioned within the above itinerary

  • All mentioned meals (6 breakfasts, 3 lunches, & 2 dinners)

  • Transportation to and from the above mentioned locations

  • Hotel tips, restaurant tips for included meals, local taxes

  • Gratuities to the travel director and coach driver

What's NOT Included

Pricing DOES NOT include the following:

  • Additional optional excursions 

  • Airfare to Shannon International Airport

  • Early Check-in/ Late arrival to the hotel

  • Travel insurance

  • Expenses for any required PCR or antigen tests

  • Additional meals not mentioned in the above itinerary

  • Transportation to and from local restaurants or points of interest not mentioned above

Pricing

Pricing for this trip is based upon the number of passengers that book. Please see the below scale. 

10-14 Passengers $3050 per person

15-19 Passengers $2650 per person

20-24 Passengers $2490 per person

25-29 Passengers $2405 per person

30+ Passengers $2340 per person

Pricing above is based on double occupancy (two people to a room).

A single supplement of $410.00 will be applied to all single rooms.

Payment due dates are as follows:

An initial non-refundable deposit of $200 per person is due by June 25th, 2022. 

A final price assessment will be sent by July 15th, 2022 based the number of deposited passengers.

Final payment will be due by July 20th, 2022.

Q: Can I add-on excursions to this trip?

A: Absolutely! Additional excursion options will be available to choose from soon.

Q: When do I have to decide if I will be attending?

A: A non-refundable deposit of $200 per person is due by June 30th. Final payment is due by July 20th.

Q: How do I make a deposit/payment on the trip?

Q: What's the weather like in Ireland in October/November?

A: October/November is a great time to visit Ireland. Tourism season has died down and the temperature stays in the mid 50's to low 60's with an occasional shower. 

Q: Will I be required to take a COVID test prior to entering Ireland?

A: As of March 2022, you are not required to test prior to visiting Ireland. Please visit Ireland's Citizen Information page for up to date information on visiting.

       For those of you that I haven't met, my name is Bea and I own Bea Amazed Travel. This itinerary has been designed and planned from scratch, just for the MDS group. I fell in love with Ireland as a child on multiple family vacations and continue to hold a special place in my heart for the Emerald Isle.
